Do sloths eat bugs?
Sloths are omnivores. They may eat insects, small lizards and carrion, however, their diet consists mostly of buds, tender shoots and leaves (including leaves from the cecropia tree). It used to be thought that sloths ate mostly cecropia leaves because they were often spotted in cecropia trees.
Do sloths eat cockroaches?
Many things live on Sloths e.g. Algae, Fungi, Beetles, Cockroaches, Moths, Ticks and Mites. The algae turns their fur green in the wet season and provides excellent camouflage in the canopy. They have the slowest metabolism of any mammal on earth, taking a month to digest their food.
